Information Security Specialist I
Position Summary:
Supports the efficient and effective implementation and maintenance of security for the Bank's information assets and resources. Evaluates, installs and maintains security software on a variety of platforms; actively promotes the advancement of sound security policies and procedures. Provides customer support for SPAM, Help Desk tickets and account requests.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Prefer at least one of the following Professional Certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC, Cisco or Microsoft security.
- 6 years of Information Technology experience, with 2 plus years in Information Security related role.
- At least 3 years hands-on experience with administering security in Windows Active Directory Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing and administering Spam filtering system. Experience with Tumbleweed Mailgate preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of securing and administering security on multiple operating systems: Solaris, Windows & AIX
- Demonstrated knowledge of host-based and/or network-based Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Experience with Intruder Alert, Cisco Security Agent & Juniper IDP preferred.
- At least two years hands-on experience with firewall administration. Experience with Check Point firewalls preferred.
- Must be able to trouble shoot advanced technical issues and follow through to resolution.
- Knowledge of industry best practices as relates to IT Security
Writer/Project Leader
Part-time
Position Summary:
Professional communicator to provide exceptional writing skills, creative ideas, and project execution for ongoing and specialized initiatives that present the Bank and its products to key audiences, with particular interest and experience in internal communications. Works with others inside and outside the department to promote the Bank’s image, mission, products and services, both internally and externally. Provides writing and editing, research, production oversight, HTML and design support. This is a part-time position. Applicants must be available to work on-site Wednesday through Friday.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA in English, journalism, creative writing or related field.
- 3-4 years experience in corporate writing or teaching.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in various writing styles: editorial, brochure, report, script, release.
- Exceptional skills in grammar and punctuation; excellent proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of HTML preferred. Understanding of print production, ability to work with photographers, and knowledge of PowerPoint are a plus.
- Prior experience in internal communications is a definite plus.
- Strong strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills; interviewing skills important.
Hedge Documentation Specialist
Responsible for the enforceability of the Bank's derivative transactions, to the terms and details agreed to by the Bank's traders; as shown in the Bank's systems of record. The accuracy of the Bank’s derivative trade confirmations is critical to both the Bank’s financial reporting and risk management systems. Responsible for maintaining successful working relationships with the Bank's counterparties, member institutions, and other 3rd parties, for the purposes of coordinating and representing the Bank on all post trade date activities. This is accomplished by promptly conducting post trade date exploratory discussions and formal negotiations with said institutions, regarding: swap confirmations delivery; corrections and amendments to derivative trades terms and details; the formatting of derivative confirmations, including the correct usage of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association's (I.S.D.A.) language; and authorized swap confirmations sign-offs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Three years experience in back-office Operations processing and tracking of complex financial transactions such as securities, debt instruments, and derivatives.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, quantitative and organization skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and derivative documentation presentation skills.
- Proficient level of P.C. literacy, especially the use of spreadsheets, database software, and application software related to processing and tracking complex financial transactions and related cash flows and characteristics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of I.S.D.A. rules preferred.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s business, including operational dependencies across departments supported by the position
Senior Credit Risk Analyst
Summary of Position:
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is an underwriter with strong quantitative skills and technical aptitude. Specializes in mission and mortgage risk monitoring and metrics. Monitors the residential mortgage-backed securities (or RMBS), Mortgage Partnership Finance (or MPF) program, and our member bank scorecard, as well as Banking on Business (or BOB), letters of credit (such as Public Unit Deposits) and other mission-related programs, as applicable.
Responsible for creating timely and accurate credit risk reports, as well as reviews and surveys as needed. Facilitates data capture, data preparation, data analysis/reporting, and credit risk scoring/metrics. Works closely with the credit risk team to contribute to the reserve and Credit Risk Based Capital Calculation (CrRBCCalc). Aid in the development and implementation of tools that support the Bank’s credit risk policies, practices and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering preferred
- CFA or FRM degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years data analytical skills within the financial services environment; understanding of FHLB business desirable
- Enjoys computing and quantitative analysis as follows:
- Proficiency with SQL, Crystal, Macros, and Visual Basic highly desirable.
- Past experience with credit risk databases (for example bank Call Report databases, securities databases such as Loan Performance or Intex, and/or mortgage risk
such as S&P LEVELs or Fitch ResiLogic or Moody’s Mortgage Metrics).
- Ability to quickly learn a proprietary credit risk system based (such RAZOR, our state-of-the-art limits system)
- Some understanding of credit risk measurement principles, such as Basel, is preferable.
