Stimulating Environment FHLBank Pittsburgh
provides a stimulating corporate environment featuring:
Employee-focused culture
"FHLBank supports an employee-focused environment where individuals are asked what they think about the organization, its practices, programs, and its benefits. Plus, the annual Bank's Thanks is an employee appreciation event no one wants to miss!"
–
Melissa Andrascik, Financial Reporting Analyst
Work-life balance
“FHLBank Pittsburgh strives to
make sure that employees can balance their workload
with family and other commitments. With vacation days
and ‘flex days,’ as well as the opportunity
for flexible scheduling, the Bank makes it possible
for me to have a life outside of work.”
– Brent Anderson, Service Center Specialist
Vibrant urban center
The offices of FHLBank Pittsburgh are located right
in the Golden Triangle in downtown Pittsburgh - voted America's "most livable city", only
steps away from:
- restaurants and clubs
- shops and department stores
- transportation and parking
- parks, fountains and riverfront trails
- museums and galleries
- libraries and universities
- loft apartments and hotels
Around the corner is Heinz Hall, home to a world-renowned
symphony orchestra, and the Pittsburgh Public Theatre
performs close by, too. The elegant David L. Lawrence
Convention Center is the first “green” (i.e.,
environmentally friendly) convention center and world’s
largest “green” building.
The Pittsburgh Penguins face off at the new Consol Energy Center just
up the street, while a short walk across the Clemente
Bridge brings you to PNC Park, home field of the Pirates,
and further down shore, Heinz Field, where the Super
Bowl Champion Steelers clash.
Warmer weather opens the door to numerous daytime concerts
and food festivals, as well as the annual Three Rivers
Arts Festival – two weeks of arts and crafts booths
and free concerts at Point State Park each June. Each
July, the Three Rivers Regatta brings together boaters
and lovers of good fun from all across the region.
And in cold weather, downtown comes alive for the Holiday
Season, culminating in First Night Pittsburgh –
a family-oriented New Year’s Eve festival held
in venues all over downtown.
All in all, it’s a vibrant, attractive, energizing
setting – an enjoyable place to be both during
working hours and after.
