More Hope for First-time Homebuyers Arrives in Reading

The highly successful Our City Reading initiative got another boost on February 19 when Congressman Jim Gerlach (PA-06) helped present an Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant for 50 additional properties for first-time homebuyers of limited means.

 

Dent Focuses on the Chronically Homeless

Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15) was the keynote speaker on February 1 as FHLBank and its member, KNBT, a division of National Penn Bank, announced a $250,000 grant to a Bethlehem-based nonprofit that will allow it to complete work on renovation of a property in Downtown Allentown and expand its outreach to the chronically homeless.
