Affordable Housing Advisory Council
The Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Council)
is a 15-member advisory committee with the purpose
of providing direction and recommendations as
it relates to FHLBank Pittsburgh's affordable
housing and community development programs. Council
members serve a three-year term, at which time
they must be re-appointed for another three-year
term. The maximum number of consecutive terms
is three, for a total time of nine consecutive
years of service.
The Council is comprised of representatives from
the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania and West
Virginia and its members represent nonprofit and
for-profit organizations. The Council works closely
with the FHLBank's Community Investment Department
staff to help shape policy and to provide recommendations
on program creation, changes and/or enhancements.
The FHLBank Board of Directors has final authority
as to the alteration of an existing program or
addition of any new program.
