Home4Good helps those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by channeling dollars to local service organizations that know how to help. Funding is offered annually by FHLBank Pittsburgh (FHLBank) and the Delaware State Housing Authority, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund. Continuums of Care and service organizations serving the homeless partner with FHLBank members to apply for Home4Good grants during the funding round. Awards are announced in December.
FHLBank members benefit from Home4Good participation in a variety of ways.
In 2025, FHLBank and its three Home4Good state housing finance agency partners will award more than $6 million in Home4Good funds to projects in Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In Delaware, funds will be distributed through the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) and service organizations can reach out to DSHA directly or review the Notice of Funding Availability on the DSHA website for further application information. In Pennsylvania and West Virginia, there will be no public Request for Proposal (RFP) application process. Instead, funding will be offered in "block grant" style with our partners, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund (WVHDF). Service organizations are encouraged to reach out to their local Continuum of Care in those states.
FHLBank members can participate by submitting a member support form to indicate their support for projects in their area. FHLBank will reach out to members during the timeframe of Aug. 1 to Sept. 30. Awards will be announced by the end of 2025.
