Carolina Harvey considered a couple she knew in Harrisburg, Pa., to be like a mom and dad – so much so that she and her husband moved all the way from Massachusetts to be closer to them. When the Harveys added a son, Jackson, they became anxious homeowners. They located a three-bedroom house in Swatara Township. Applying for a First Front Door (FFD) down payment and closing cost grant through FHLBank Pittsburgh member Sovereign Bank, the Harveys received more than $4,700 to help defray the up-front costs associated with their first home.
